Topological Vector Spaces, chapter III, § 1. Bornology in a topological vector space

Let FF be a locally convex space, kk an integer ≥0\geq 0 and f:Ek→Ff : E^k \to F a multilinear mapping. For ff to be continuous, it is necessary and sufficient that the restriction of ff to EnkE_n^k is continuous for every nn. We verify immediately that EkE^k has the final locally convex topology for the family of linear mappings vn×⋯×vn:En×⋯×En→E×⋯×Ev_n \times \cdots \times v_n : E_n \times \cdots \times E_n \to E \times \cdots \times E (II, p. 28, cor. 2 and p. 30, prop. 7) and that un×⋯×unu_n \times \cdots \times u_n is a compact injective linear mapping from (En)k(E_n)^k into (En+1)k(E_{n+1})^k. It is now enough to apply lemma 1.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
