Topological Vector Spaces, chapter III, § 5. Hypocontinuous bilinear mappings

— Suppose that E and F are metrizable and that E is barrelled. Then ϕ\phi is a topological vector space isomorphism from B(E,F)\mathscr{B}(E, F) onto Lb(E;Fb′)\mathscr{L}_b(E; F'_b).

Let f∈Lb(E;Fb′)f \in \mathscr{L}_b(E; F'_b). Put u(x,y)=⟨y,f(x)⟩u(x, y) = \langle y, f(x) \rangle for x∈Ex \in E and y∈Fy \in F. The bilinear form uu on E×FE \times F is separately continuous; by prop. 2, it belongs to B(E,F)\mathscr{B}(E, F), and we have f=ϕ(u)f = \phi(u). Hence ϕ\phi is a linear bijection from B(E,F)\mathscr{B}(E, F) onto Lb(E;Fb′)\mathscr{L}_b(E; F'_b). It is immediate that ϕ\phi is bicontinuous, hence cor. 2 follows.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
