Topological Vector Spaces, III, p. 32, § 5. Hypocontinuous bilinear mappings

Let E,F,GE, F, G be three locally convex spaces, GG being assumed Hausdorff; let E0E_0 (resp. F0F_0) be a dense vector subspace of EE (resp. FF). Let uu be a separately continuous bilinear mapping from E×FE \times F into GG.

1) If u(E0×F0)={0}u(E_0 \times F_0) = \{0\}, then u=0u = 0.

2) Let S0\mathfrak{S}_0 be a family of bounded subsets of E0E_0; if the restriction of uu to E0×F0E_0 \times F_0 is S0\mathfrak{S}_0*-hypocontinuous then so is* uu.

1) By hypothesis, for all x∈E0x \in E_0, the continuous linear mapping u(x,.)u(x, .) is null on F0F_0, hence on FF: therefore for all y∈Fy \in F, the continuous linear mapping u(.,y)u(., y) is null on E0E_0, hence on EE. This proves that u=0u = 0.

2) For every closed neighbourhood WW of 0 in GG and for every set M∈S0M \in \mathfrak{S}_0, there exists, by hypothesis, a neighbourhood VV of 0 in F0F_0 such that u(M×V)⊂Wu(M \times V) \subset W. But V‾\overline{V} is a neighbourhood of 0 in FF; for every x∈Mx \in M, the relation u({x}×V)⊂Wu(\{x\} \times V) \subset W implies that u({x}×V‾)⊂Wu(\{x\} \times \overline{V}) \subset W, since u(x,.)u(x, .) is continuous and WW is closed; therefore u(M×V‾)⊂Wu(M \times \overline{V}) \subset W, which proves that uu is S0\mathfrak{S}_0*-hypocontinuous.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
