Topological Vector Spaces, chapter V, § 1. Prehilbertian spaces and hilbertian spaces

Let EE be a vector space over the field KK. A semi-norm pp on EE is said to be prehilbertian if there exists a positive hermitian form ff on EE such that p(x)=f(x,x)1/2p(x) = f(x, x)^{1/2} for all x∈Ex \in E.

Observe that for a semi-norm pp on EE, there exists at most one positive hermitian form ff such that p(x)=f(x,x)1/2p(x) = f(x, x)^{1/2} for all x∈Ex \in E; this follows from the polarization formulas (V, p. 2).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
