Topological Vector Spaces, chapter V, § 4. Some classes of operators in hilbertian spaces

— 1) For every subspace F of E, let QFQ_F denote the restriction of Q to F and HFH_F that of H. We have Tr⁡(QF/HF)≤Tr⁡(Q/H)\operatorname{Tr}(Q_F/H_F) \leq \operatorname{Tr}(Q/H) and Tr⁡(Q/H)\operatorname{Tr}(Q/H) is the upper bound of the set of all numbers Tr⁡(QF/HF)\operatorname{Tr}(Q_F/H_F) where FF ranges over the family of all finite dimensional vector subspaces of EE.

2) Let E1E_1 be a real vector space, Q1Q_1 and H1H_1 two positive quadratic forms on E1E_1 and π:E→E1\pi : E \to E_1 a surjective linear mapping. If Q=Q1∘πQ = Q_1 \circ \pi and H=H1∘πH = H_1 \circ \pi, then Tr⁡(Q/H)=Tr⁡(Q1/H1)\operatorname{Tr}(Q/H) = \operatorname{Tr}(Q_1/H_1).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
