Functions of a Real Variable, chapter IV, § 2. LINEAR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

When the bjb_j are all zero, that is, if the system (47) is homogeneous, the conditions (52) are always satisfied; if, further, r=nr = n, one sees that the set of solutions of (47) is a vector space over C\mathbf{C}, of dimension equal to the sum of the degrees of the fj(D)f_j(D), that is, to the degree of det⁡(P(D))\det(P(D)).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
