Integration, III, p. 26, § 2. Support of a measure

The support of a measure μ\mu is identical to the support of the measure ∣μ∣|\mu|; if μ\mu is real, its support is the union of the supports of the measures μ+\mu^+ and μ−\mu^-.

For, if the restriction of μ\mu to an open set UU is zero, then so is that of ∣μ∣|\mu| (resp. of μ+\mu^+ and μ−\mu^- when μ\mu is real), and conversely.

Note that the supports of μ+\mu^+ and μ−\mu^- can be nonempty and identical (cf. Ch. V, § 5, Exer. 5).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
