Integration, chapter IV, § 3. LP spaces

— For a positive numerical function ff to belong to Lp\mathscr{L}^p, it is necessary and sufficient that fpf^p belong to L1\mathscr{L}^1.

Note that if ff is a numerical function of arbitrary sign, such that ∣f∣p|f|^p belongs to L1\mathscr{L}^1, ff does not necessarily belong to Lp\mathscr{L}^p (cf. § 4, Exer. 8).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
