Integration, chapter IV, § 4. Integrable functions and sets

— Let X be a locally compact space and, for every x∈Xx \in X, let εx\varepsilon_x be the Dirac measure at the point x. The mapping x↦εxx \mapsto \varepsilon_x of X into C′(X;C)\mathscr{C}'(X; \mathbf{C}) is continuous for the topology of compact convergence on C′(X;C)\mathscr{C}'(X; \mathbf{C}).

Consider a neighborhood of εx0\varepsilon_{x_0} in C′(X;C)\mathscr{C}'(X; \mathbf{C}) for this topology, which we can suppose to be defined by taking a number δ>0\delta > 0, a compact subset H of C(X;C)\mathscr{C}(X; \mathbf{C}), and considering the set of measures μ\mu on X with compact support such that ∣μ(f)−εx0(f)∣≤δ|\mu(f) - \varepsilon_{x_0}(f)| \leq \delta for every function f∈Hf \in H. Since H is equicontinuous, there exists a neighborhood U of x0x_0 in X such that the relation f∈Hf \in H implies ∣f(x)−f(x0)∣≤δ|f(x) - f(x_0)| \leq \delta for all x∈Ux \in U, which may also be written ∣εx(f)−εx0(f)∣≤δ|\varepsilon_x(f) - \varepsilon_{x_0}(f)| \leq \delta and proves the proposition.(*)

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
