Integration, IV, p. 85, § 5. Measurable functions and sets

Let XX be a locally compact space, μ\mu a measure on XX, FF a Banach space, and p∈[1,+∞[p \in [1, +\infty[. A subset HH of LFp(X,μ)\mathscr{L}_F^p(X, \mu) is said to be equi-integrable of order pp (for μ\mu) if it satisfies the following conditions:

(i) For every ε>0\varepsilon > 0 there exists a δ>0\delta > 0 such that, for every integrable set AA of measure ∣μ∣(A)≤δ|\mu|(A) \leq \delta and every f∈Hf \in H,

∫∣f∣pφAd∣μ∣≤ε. \int |f|^p \varphi_A d|\mu| \leq \varepsilon.

(ii) For every ε>0\varepsilon > 0 there exists a compact subset KK of XX such that, for every f∈Hf \in H, ∫∣f∣pφX−Kd∣μ∣≤ε\int |f|^p \varphi_{X-K} d|\mu| \leq \varepsilon.

When p=1p = 1 we say 'equi-integrable' instead of 'equi-integrable of order 1'.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
