Integration, chapter V, § 1. Essential upper integral

— For every numerical function f⩾0f \geqslant 0 that is lower semi-continuous on TT, μ∙(f)=μ∗(f)\mu^\bullet(f) = \mu^*(f).

For, let gg be a function in K+(T)\mathscr{K}_+(T) such that g⩽fg \leqslant f. If KK is the (compact) support of gg, then μ(g)⩽μ∗(fφK)⩽μ∙(f)\mu(g) \leqslant \mu^*(f \varphi_K) \leqslant \mu^\bullet(f). It follows, by the definition of upper integral, that μ∗(f)⩽μ∙(f)\mu^*(f) \leqslant \mu^\bullet(f), therefore μ∗(f)=μ∙(f)\mu^*(f) = \mu^\bullet(f) (formula (1)).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
