Integration, chapter V, § 6. Images of a measure

— Let S be the support of μ\mu. If π\pi is continuous, then the support of π(μ)\pi(\mu) is π(S)\pi(S).

For, it follows from Cor. 3 that π(μ)\pi(\mu) is concentrated on π(S)\pi(S), therefore if S′S' is the support of π(μ)\pi(\mu) then S′⊂π(S)S' \subset \pi(S). On the other hand, π−1(X−S′)\pi^{-1}(X - S') is a locally μ\mu-negligible open set (Cor. 2), hence is μ\mu-negligible (Ch. IV, §5, No. 2, Cor. 2 of Prop. 5). Therefore π−1(X−S′)⊂T−S\pi^{-1}(X - S') \subset T - S, consequently π(S)⊂S′\pi(S) \subset S', which proves the corollary.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
