Integration, chapter VI, § 2. Vectorial measures . "

— Let m be a complex measure, and μ=∣m∣\mu = |m|. For m to be bounded, it is necessary and sufficient that μ\mu be bounded, in which case ∥m∥=∥μ∥\|m\| = \|\mu\|.

We have m=g⋅μm = g \cdot \mu, where gg is μ\mu-measurable and ∣g(t)∣=1|g(t)| = 1 for all t∈Tt \in T. If μ\mu is bounded then, for every function f∈KC(T)f \in \mathscr{K}_\mathbf{C}(T),

∣m(f)∣=∣∫fg dμ∣≤N∞(fg)∥μ∥=∥f∥⋅∥μ∥, |m(f)| = \left| \int f g \, d\mu \right| \leq N_\infty(fg)\|\mu\| = \|f\| \cdot \|\mu\|,
therefore mm is bounded and ∥m∥≤∥μ∥\|m\| \leq \|\mu\|. If mm is bounded, then for every f∈KC(T)f \in \mathscr{K}_\mathbf{C}(T) we have, on taking into account Lemma 5,
∣μ(f)∣≤∥f∥⋅∥m∥, |\mu(f)| \leq \|f\| \cdot \|m\|,
therefore μ\mu is bounded and ∥μ∥≤∥m∥\|\mu\| \leq \|m\|. Whence the proposition.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
