Integration, chapter VII, § 1. Construction of a Haar measure

— 1) Lebesgue measure on Rn\mathbf{R}^n is a Haar measure of the additive group Rn\mathbf{R}^n.

2) The mapping (r,u)↦ru(r, u) \mapsto ru is an isomorphism of R+∗×U\mathbf{R}_+^* \times \mathbf{U} onto C∗\mathbf{C}^* (GT, VIII, §1, No. 3). If C∗\mathbf{C}^* is identified with R+∗×U\mathbf{R}_+^* \times \mathbf{U} by means of this isomorphism, and if dudu denotes a Haar measure on U\mathbf{U}, then r−1drdur^{-1} dr du is a Haar measure on C∗\mathbf{C}^* by Example 2 of No. 2. On the other hand, the bijection θ↦e2iπθ\theta \mapsto e^{2i\pi \theta} of [0,1[[0, 1[ onto U\mathbf{U} transforms the Lebesgue measure dθd\theta on [0,1[[0, 1[ into a Haar measure on U\mathbf{U} by Example 3 of No. 2. It follows that if f∈H(C∗)f \in \mathscr{H}(\mathbf{C}^*), the integral

∫0+∞∫01f(re2iπθ)r−1dr dθ \int_0^{+\infty} \int_0^1 f(re^{2i\pi \theta}) r^{-1} dr\, d\theta
defines a Haar measure on C∗\mathbf{C}^*.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
