Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter I, § 5. Solvable Lie algebras

Let g1,…,gng_1, \ldots, g_n be Lie algebras. The radical rr of the product of the gig_i is the product of the radicals rir_i of the gig_i.

The product r′r' of the rir_i is a solvable ideal (Proposition 1) and hence r′⊂rr' \subset r. The canonical image of rr in gig_i is a solvable ideal of gig_i and hence is contained in rir_i; hence r⊂r′r \subset r'.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
