Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter I, § 6. Semi-simple Lie algebras

If gg is semi-simple, every derivation of gg is inner.

ad⁡g\operatorname{ad} g is isomorphic to gg and hence semi-simple and is an ideal of the Lie algebra δ\delta of derivations of gg (§1§ 1, Proposition 1). If D∈δD \in \delta commutes with the elements of ad⁡g\operatorname{ad} g, then, for all x∈gx \in g, ad⁡D(x)=[D,ad⁡x]=0\operatorname{ad} D(x) = [D, \operatorname{ad} x] = 0, whence D(x)=0D(x) = 0; hence D=0D = 0. Corollary 3 then follows from Corollary 1.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
