Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter II, § 5. Magnus algebras

Let rr be a mapping of X\mathbf{X} into A^(X)\hat{\mathbf{A}}(\mathbf{X}) such that ω(r(x))≥2\omega(r(x)) \geq 2 for all x∈Xx \in \mathbf{X}. The unique homomorphism gg of the free group F(X)F(\mathbf{X}) into the Magnus group Γ(X)\Gamma(\mathbf{X}) such that g(x)=1+x+r(x)g(x) = 1 + x + r(x) for all x∈Xx \in \mathbf{X} is injective.

We first prove three lemmas.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
