Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter III, § 3. Passage from a Lie group to its Lie algebra

Let G,E,πG, E, \pi be as in Proposition 39. Let FF be a subset of EE. The set of g∈Gg \in G such that π(g)x=x\pi(g)x = x for all x∈Fx \in F is a Lie subgroup of GG and its Lie algebra is the set of a∈L(G)a \in L(G) such that (L(π)a)(x)=0(L(\pi)a)(x) = 0 for all x∈Fx \in F.

We apply Proposition 39 with E2={0}E_2 = \{0\} and E1E_1 the vector subspace of EE generated by FF.

Let π1,π2,…,πn\pi_1, \pi_2, \ldots, \pi_n be analytic linear representations of GG. Clearly the direct sum π\pi of the πi\pi_i (Algebra, Chapter VIII, § 13, no. 1) is an analytic linear representation of GG and L(π)L(\pi) is the direct sum of L(π1),L(π2),…,L(πn)L(\pi_1), L(\pi_2), \ldots, L(\pi_n) (Chapter I, § 3, no. 1).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
