Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter III, § 3. Passage from a Lie group to its Lie algebra

Let A be a complete normable unital associative algebra. We identify A with L(A∗)L(A^*). Then, if g∈A∗g \in A^* and y∈Ay \in A, (Ad g)y=gyg−1(\mathrm{Ad}\, g)y = gyg^{-1}.

Recall that Ad g=T1(Int g)\mathrm{Ad}\, g = T_1(\mathrm{Int}\, g). Let ugu_g be the mapping x↦gxg−1x \mapsto gxg^{-1} of A into A. The identity chart of A∗A^* into A transforms Int g\mathrm{Int}\, g into ug∣A∗u_g \mid A^*. The tangent mapping at each point of A∗A^* to this mapping is equal to ugu_g, whence the proposition.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
