Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter III, § 6. Real and complex Lie groups

Let GG be a connected commutative Lie group. (i) exp is an étale morphism of the additive Lie group L(G)L(G) onto GG.

(ii) If K = \mathbf{R} and G is finite-dimensional, G is isomorphic to a Lie group of the form Rp×Tq\mathbf{R}^p \times \mathbf{T}^q (p,qp, q integers ⩾0\geqslant 0).

By the Hausdorff formula, (exp⁡x)(exp⁡y)=exp⁡(x+y)(\exp x)(\exp y) = \exp(x + y) for x,yx, y sufficiently close to 0 and hence for all x,yx, y in L(G)L(G) by analytic continuation. Hence exp⁡\exp is a group homomorphism and is étale since

Te(exp⁡)=IdL(G). T_e(\exp) = \mathrm{Id}_{L(G)}.

Hence (i). Assertion (ii) follows from (i) and General Topology, Chapter VII, § 1, Proposition 9.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
