Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter III, § 9. Commutators, centralizers and normalizers in a Lie group

Let GG be a finite-dimensional simply connected nilpotent Lie group over R\mathbf{R} or C\mathbf{C}.

(i) exp⁡G\exp_G is an isomorphism of the Lie group associated with L(G)L(G) onto GG.

(ii) Every integral subgroup of GG is a simply connected Lie subgroup of GG.

Let g=L(G)g = L(G), which is nilpotent (Proposition 12). As two simply connected Lie groups over R\mathbf{R} or C\mathbf{C} which have the same Lie algebra are isomorphic (§6§ 6, no. 3, Theorem 3 (ii)), it suffices to prove the proposition when GG is the group associated with gg. Then (i) and (ii) follow from what was said before the proposition.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
