Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter V, § 4. The geometric representation of a Coxeter group

Assume that (W,S)(W, S) is irreducible. Then: a) If BMB_M is non-degenerate, the W-module EE is absolutely simple. b) If BMB_M is degenerate, the W-module EE is not semi-simple.

In case a), Prop. 7 shows that EE is simple, hence also absolutely simple (§2§ 2, no. 1, Prop. 1).

In case b), E0≠0E^0 \neq 0, E≠E0E \neq E^0 (since BM≠0B_M \neq 0), and Prop. 7 shows that E0E^0 has no complement stable under WW; thus, the W-module EE is not semi-simple.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
