Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter V, Appendix 0. Complements on linear representations

Let AA be a commutative ring, MM an AA-module, GG a finite group acting on MM, and A′A' an AA-module. Assume that the order qq of GG is invertible in AA. Let MGM^G be the set of elements of MM invariant under GG. Then the canonical homomorphism from MG⊗AA′M^G \otimes_A A' to M⊗AA′M \otimes_A A' defines an isomorphism from MG⊗AA′M^G \otimes_A A' onto the module (M⊗AA′)G(M \otimes_A A')^G of elements of M⊗AA′M \otimes_A A' invariant under GG.

Indeed, let QQ be the projection of MM onto MGM^G defined by Q(x)=q−1∑g∈Gg(x)Q(x) = q^{-1} \sum_{g \in G} g(x) for all x∈Mx \in M. If ii denotes the canonical injection of MGM^G into MM, Q∘iQ \circ i is the identity map of MGM^G, so (Q⊗1A′)∘(i⊗1A′)(Q \otimes 1_{A'}) \circ (i \otimes 1_{A'}) is the identity map of MG⊗AA′M^G \otimes_A A'. Since Q⊗1A′=q−1∑g∈G(g⊗1A′)Q \otimes 1_{A'} = q^{-1} \sum_{g \in G} (g \otimes 1_{A'}), the image of i⊗1A′i \otimes 1_{A'} is (M⊗A′)G(M \otimes A')^G. On the other hand, i⊗1A′i \otimes 1_{A'} is injective by what has been said before.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
