General Topology, chapter I, § 2. Continuous functions

Let XX be a set, (Zi)i∈I(Z_i)_{i \in I} a family of topological spaces, (Jλ)λ∈L(J_\lambda)_{\lambda \in L} a partition of II and (Yλ)λ∈L(Y_\lambda)_{\lambda \in L} a family of sets indexed by LL. Also for each λ∈L\lambda \in L let hλh_\lambda be a mapping of XX into YλY_\lambda; for each λ∈L\lambda \in L and each i∈Jλi \in J_\lambda let giλg_{i\lambda} be a mapping of YλY_\lambda into ZiZ_i, and put fi=giλ∘hλf_i = g_{i\lambda} \circ h_\lambda. If each YλY_\lambda carries the coarsest topology for which the mappings giλ(i∈Jλ)g_{i\lambda} (i \in J_\lambda) are continuous, then the coarsest topology on XX for which the fif_i are continuous is the same as the coarsest topology for which the hλh_\lambda are continuous.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
