General Topology, chapter I, § 3. Subspaces, quotient spaces

Let (Ai)i∈I(A_i)_{i \in I} be a family of subsets of a topological space XX whose interiors cover XX, or which is a locally finite closed covering of XX. Let ff be a mapping of XX into a topological space X′X'. If the restriction of ff to each of the subspaces AiA_i is continuous, then ff is continuous.

For if F′F' is a closed subset of X′X' and if F=f‾(F′)F = \overline{f}(F'), then F∩AiF \cap A_i is closed in AiA_i for each i∈Ii \in I (§2§ 2, no. 1, Theorem 1) and therefore FF is closed in XX by Proposition 3 of no. 1; the result now follows from Theorem 1 of §2§ 2, no. 1.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
