General Topology, chapter I, § 9. Compact spaces and locally compact spaces

For a subset of a product of topological spaces to be relatively quasi-compact it is necessary and sufficient that each of its projections should be relatively quasi-compact in the corresponding factor.

Necessity follows from Theorem 2 of § 4. To prove sufficiency, let AA be a subset of ∏iXi\prod_i X_i such that, for each index ii, pr⁡i(A)\operatorname{pr}_i(A) is contained in a quasi-compact subset KiK_i of XiX_i; then AA is contained in the quasi-compact subset ∏iKi\prod_i K_i of ∏iXi\prod_i X_i.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
