General Topology, chapter I, § 11. Connectedness

Let UU be an open subset of a locally connected space XX, and let VV be a component of UU. Then the frontier of VV (relative to XX) is contained in the frontier of UU.

For VV is open and closed in UU, hence a frontier point of VV (relative to XX) cannot belong to UU, for it would also be a frontier point of VV relative to UU, and there is none.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
