General Topology, chapter III, § 5. Infinite sums in commutative groups

Let ff be a continuous homomorphism of a commutative group GG into a commutative group G′G'. If (xi)(x_i) is a summable family in GG, then (f(xi))(f(x_i)) is a summable family in G′G', and we have

Σf(xi)=f(Σxi). \Sigma f(x_i) = f(\Sigma x_i).

If JJ is any finite subset of the index set, then f(∑i∈Jxi)=∑i∈Jf(xi)f \left( \sum_{i \in J} x_i \right) = \sum_{i \in J} f(x_i), and the image under ff of a convergent filter base is a convergent filter base (Chapter I, § 7, no. 4, Corollary 1 to Proposition 9).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
