General Topology, chapter III, § 6. Topological groups with operators; topological rings division rings and fields

Given a topological ring AA with an identity element, a topological left AA*-module is a set* EE, together with:

1) a left AA*-module structure*; 2) a topology compatible with the additive group structure of EE, and satisfying the following axiom: (MT) The mapping (λ,x)→λx(\lambda, x) \to \lambda x of A×EA \times E into EE is continuous.

We define similarly the notion of a topological right AA-module; since every right AA-module can be considered as a left A0A^0-module, where A0A^0 is the opposite ring of AA, and since the topology of AA is compatible with the ring structure of A0A^0, there is no need to distinguish between topological right AA-modules and topological left A0A^0-modules.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
