General Topology, chapter III, § 6. Topological groups with operators; topological rings division rings and fields

Let AA be a ring and let B\mathfrak{B} be a filter base on AA consisting of two-sided ideals of AA; let EE be a left AA-module. If we give AA the topology (compatible with its ring structure) for which B\mathfrak{B} is a fundamental system of neighbourhoods of 00 (no. 3, Example 3), and EE the topology (compatible with its additive group structure) in which the sets aEaE, as aa runs through B\mathfrak{B}, form a fundamental system of neighbourhoods of 00 (§1§ 1, no. 2, Example), it is immediately verified that EE is a topological AA-module.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
