General Topology, chapter III, § 7. Inverse limits of topological groups and rings
If the are compact and the Hausdorff, then the conclusions of a) and b) are valid.
For the hypotheses of a) and b) are satisfied, since every closed subgroup of is compact and is a continuous mapping of a compact space into a Hausdorff space.
Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
