General Topology, chapter IV, § 7. Infinite sums and products of real numbers

Let (Hλ)(H_\lambda) be a family of finite subsets of II such that, for each finite subset HH of II, there is an index λ\lambda such that H⊂HλH \subset H_\lambda; then (xi)(x_i) is summable if and only if the family of the sHλs_{H_\lambda} is bounded above in R\mathbf{R}. In particular, let (xn)(x_n) be a sequence of finite real numbers ⩾0\geqslant 0, and for each integer nn let sn=∑p=0nxps_n = \sum_{p=0}^n x_p; then the sequence (xn)(x_n) is summable in R\mathbf{R} if and only if, for one sequence of strictly increasing integers (nk)(n_k), the partial sequence (snk)(s_{n_k}) is bounded above in R\mathbf{R}.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
