General Topology, chapter VII, § 1. Subgroups and quotient groups of $\mathbf{R}^n$

Let θ1,θ2,…,θn\theta_1, \theta_2, \ldots, \theta_n be nn real numbers. In order that, given any nn real numbers x1,x2,…,xnx_1, x_2, \ldots, x_n and a real number ε>0\varepsilon > 0, there should exist an integer qq and nn integers pjp_j such that

∣qθj−pj−xj∣≤ε(1≤j≤n) |q \theta_j - p_j - x_j| \leq \varepsilon \quad (1 \leq j \leq n)

it is necessary and sufficient that there exist no relation of the form ∑j=1nrjθj=h\sum_{j=1}^n r_j \theta_j = h, where the rjr_j are nn integers not all zero, and hh is an integer [which implies, in particular, that the θj\theta_j and the ratios θj/θk\theta_j / \theta_k (j≠kj \neq k) must be irrational].

We may interpret this result as follows: for each integer q∈Zq \in \mathbf{Z}, let xqx_q denote the point with coordinates qθj−[qθj]q \theta_j - [q \theta_j] (1≤j≤n1 \leq j \leq n); then Corollary 2 gives a necessary and sufficient condition for the set of points xqx_q to be dense in the cube which is the product of nn intervals [0,1][0, 1] in the factors of Rn\mathbf{R}^n.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
