General Topology, chapter IX, § 4. Normal spaces

If XX is a normal space and if AA is a closed subset of XX, there exists also a continuous extension to XX of every continuous mapping ff of AA into a cube K1K^1 (§ 1, no. 5); for we have then f=(fi)i∈I,fif = (f_i)_{i \in I}, f_i being a continuous mapping of AA into the compact interval KK of R\mathbf{R}; since there exists a continuous mapping gi:X→Kg_i : X \to K which extends fif_i, the mapping g=(gi)g = (g_i) is a continuous extension of ff to XX.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
