General Topology, chapter X, § 1. The uniformity of $\mathscr{G}$-convergence

However, the uniformity of S\mathscr{S}-convergence is unaltered by replacing S\mathscr{S} by the set S′\mathscr{S}' of all subsets of XX which are contained in finite unions of sets of S\mathscr{S}. In the study of S\mathscr{S}-convergence we may therefore always restrict ourselves to the case where the set S\mathscr{S} satisfies the following two conditions:

(F'1_1) Every subset of a set of S\mathscr{S} belongs to S\mathscr{S}.

(F'2_2) Every finite union of sets of S\mathscr{S} belongs to S\mathscr{S}.

If (F'2_2) is satisfied, we obtain a fundamental system of entourages of FS(X;Y)\mathscr{F}_\mathscr{S}(X; Y) by taking all the sets W(A,V)W(A, V), where AA runs through S\mathscr{S} and VV runs through a fundamental system of entourages of YY.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
