General Topology, chapter X, § 1. The uniformity of $\mathscr{G}$-convergence

Let X1,X2X_1, X_2 be two sets, let YY be a uniform space and let Si\mathscr{S}_i be a set of subsets of XiX_i (i=1,2i = 1, 2) and S1×S2\mathscr{S}_1 \times \mathscr{S}_2 the set of subsets of X1×X2X_1 \times X_2 of the form A1×A2A_1 \times A_2, where Ai∈Si,i=1,2A_i \in \mathscr{S}_i, i = 1, 2. Then the canonical bijection

F(X1×X2;Y)→F(X1;F(X2;Y)) \mathscr{F}(X_1 \times X_2; Y) \to \mathscr{F}(X_1; \mathscr{F}(X_2; Y))
(Set Theory, R, § 4, no. 14) is an isomorphism of the uniform space
FS1×S2(X1×X2;Y) \mathscr{F}_{\mathscr{S}_1 \times \mathscr{S}_2}(X_1 \times X_2; Y)
onto FS1(X1;FS2(X2;Y))\mathscr{F}_{\mathscr{S}_1}(X_1; \mathscr{F}_{\mathscr{S}_2}(X_2; Y)).

Let VV be an entourage of YY and let Ai∈Si(i=1,2)A_i \in \mathscr{S}_i (i = 1, 2); then it follows immediately from the definitions that W(A1×A2,V)W(A_1 \times A_2, V) is identified with W(A1,W(A2,V))W(A_1, W(A_2, V)) by the canonical bijection, and the result is immediate.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
