General Topology, chapter X, § 1. The uniformity of $\mathscr{G}$-convergence

Let Φ\Phi be a set, YY a uniform space and S\mathscr{S} a set of subsets of XX. Then a filter Φ\Phi on FS(X;Y)\mathscr{F}_\mathscr{S}(X; Y) converges to u0u_0 if and only if Φ\Phi is a Cauchy filter with respect to the uniformity of S\mathscr{S}-convergence and converges pointwise to u0u_0 in B=⋃A∈SAB = \bigcup_{A \in \mathscr{S}} A.

Since the structure of pointwise convergence in BB is coarser than that of S\mathscr{S}-convergence, it is enough to show that for each A∈SA \in \mathscr{S} and each closed entourage VV of YY, W(A,V)W(A, V) is closed in BB with respect to the topology of pointwise convergence (Chapter II, § 3, no. 3, Proposition 7). Now W(A,V)W(A, V) is the intersection of the inverse images of VV under the mappings (u,v)→(u(x),v(x))(u, v) \to (u(x), v(x)) as xx runs through AA; these mappings are continuous with respect to the topology of pointwise convergence (no. 2, Remark 6), and the result follows.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
