Commutative Algebra, chapter IX, § 2. Anneaux de Cohen

A ring CC is said to be a pp-ring if the ideal pCpC of CC is maximal, and if CC is separated and complete for the pCpC-adic topology.

Let CC be a ring; if p1Cp1_C is nilpotent and if the ideal pCpC of CC is maximal, CC is a pp-ring, for the pCpC-adic topology of CC is discrete. In particular, every field of characteristic pp is a pp-ring.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
