Commutative Algebra, chapter X, § 4. Anneaux réguliers

Let AA be a regular ring and PP a finitely generated projective AA-module. The symmetric algebra SA(P)S_A(P) is a regular ring.

Let pp be a prime ideal of SA(P)S_A(P) and qq its inverse image in AA. The local ring SA(P)pS_A(P)_p is a ring of fractions of the ring SA(P)qS_A(P)_q, which is isomorphic to SAq(Pq)S_{A_q}(P_q) (A, III, p. 72, prop. 7); it is enough to prove that the latter is regular. This reduces us to the case where AA is local; but then PP is free of finite type. By prop. 1 of No. 1 and A, X, p. 143, cor. 1, one has dh(SA(P))=dh(A)+rgA(P)<+∞dh(S_A(P)) = dh(A) + rg_A(P) < +\infty, and SA(P)S_A(P) is regular by prop. 4.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
