Soit n∈Nn\in \mathbf{N}. On note μn\mu_n la mesure de Lebesgue sur Rn\mathbf{R}^n.

a) Soit H1\mathscr{H}_1 l’image de l’application ∂1:D(Rn)→D(Rn)\partial_1:\mathscr{D}(\mathbf{R}^n)\rightarrow \mathscr{D}(\mathbf{R}^n); c’est l’espace des φ∈D(Rn)\varphi \in \mathscr{D}(\mathbf{R}^n) tels que

∫Rφ(x,y)dμ1(x)=0 \int_{\mathbf{R}}\varphi (x, y)d\mu_1(x) = 0

pour tout y∈Rn−1y\in \mathbf{R}^{n-1}.

b) Soit φ0∈D(R)\varphi_0\in \mathscr{D}(\mathbf{R}) dont l’intégrale sur R\mathbf{R} est égale à 1. Pour tout φ∈D(Rn)\varphi \in \mathscr{D}(\mathbf{R}^n), il existe φ1∈H1\varphi_1\in \mathscr{H}_1 tel que

φ(x,y)=φ1(x,y)+φ0(x)∫Rφ(t,y)dμ1(t) \varphi (x, y) =\varphi_1(x, y) +\varphi_0(x)\int_{\mathbf{R}}\varphi (t, y)d\mu_1(t)

pour tout (x,y)∈R×Rn−1(x, y)\in \mathbf{R}\times \mathbf{R}^{n-1}.

c) Pour toute distribution f∈D′(Rn)f\in \mathscr{D}'(\mathbf{R}^n), il existe g∈D′(Rn)g\in \mathscr{D}'(\mathbf{R}^n) tel que ∂1g=f\partial_1g=f. Si g1g_1 et g2g_2 dans D′(Rn)\mathscr{D}'(\mathbf{R}^n) vérifient ∂1g1=∂1g2=f\partial_1g_1=\partial_1g_2=f, alors il existe une distribution h∈D′(Rn−1)h\in \mathscr{D}'(\mathbf{R}^{n-1}) telle que

⟨g1−g2,φ⟩=⟨h,ψ⟩ \langle g_1-g_2, \varphi \rangle =\langle h, \psi \rangle

pour tout φ∈D(Rn)\varphi \in \mathscr{D}(\mathbf{R}^n), où ψ∈D(Rn−1)\psi \in \mathscr{D}(\mathbf{R}^{n-1}) est définie par

ψ(y)=∫Rφ(t,y)dμ1(t) \psi (y) =\int_{\mathbf{R}}\varphi (t, y)d\mu_1(t)

d) Soit U un ouvert connexe de Rn\mathbf{R}^n. Soit f∈D′(U)f\in \mathscr{D}'(U) une distribution telle que ∂if=0\partial_if= 0 pour 1⩽i⩽n1\leqslant i\leqslant n. La distribution ff est la distribution associée à une fonction constante.
