Algebra, VIII, p. 344, § 17. Reduced Norms and Traces

By formula (23) of VIII, p. 340, we have

TrA/K(a)=n_{A/K}(a) =n TrdA/K(a)_{A/K}(a)

for every a∈Aa\in A. If the characteristic of the field K is equal to 0 or a prime number pp that does not divide nn, then we can replace the reduced trace with the trace in Proposition 5. On the other hand, if the characteristic of K is a prime number that divides nn, then we have TrA/K(a)=0_{A/K}(a) = 0 for every a∈Aa\in A.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
