Algebra, VIII, p. 346, § 17. Reduced Norms and Traces

Let K′K' be a commutative K-algebra. Every element tt of A(K′)A_{(K')} can be written as ∑i∈Iti⊗ei\sum_{i\in I}t_i\otimes e_i, where (ti)∈K′I(t_i)\in {K'}^I. It follows from the proof of Lemma 5 that the characteristic polynomial PcA(K′)/K′(t;X)_{A_{(K')}/K'}(t; X) is equal to P((ti),X)nP((t_i),X)^n.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
