Algebra, VIII, p. 347, § 17. Reduced Norms and Traces

Let B be a simple subalgebra of A. Denote the center of B by L and the commutant of B in A by B′B'. Then B′B' is a central simple algebra over the field L; we denote its reduced degree by rr. For every element bb of B, we have the relations

(56) PcrdA/K(b;X)=NL[X]/K[X]_{A/K}(b; X) = N_{L[X]/K[X]}(PcrdB/L(b;X)_{B/L}(b; X))r^r,

(57) TrdA/K(b)=r_{A/K}(b) =r TrL/K_{L/K}(TrdB/K(b)_{B/K}(b)),

(58) NrdA/K(b)=NL/K_{A/K}(b) = N_{L/K}(NrdB/L(b)_{B/L}(b))r^r.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
