Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VIII, § 3. Subalgebras of split semi-simple Lie algebras

A subalgebra of g\mathfrak{g} containing h\mathfrak{h} and satisfying the equivalent condition in Prop. 7 is called a Borel subalgebra of (g,h)(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{h}).

A subalgebra b\mathfrak{b} of a splittable algebra g\mathfrak{g} is called a Borel subalgebra of g\mathfrak{g} if there exists a splitting Cartan subalgebra h′\mathfrak{h}' of g\mathfrak{g} such that b\mathfrak{b} is a Borel subalgebra of (g,h′)(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{h}').

Let (g,h)(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{h}) be a split reductive Lie algebra. Let g=c×s\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{c}\times \mathfrak{s} with c\mathfrak{c} commutative and s\mathfrak{s} semi-simple. A subalgebra of g\mathfrak{g} of the form c×b\mathfrak{c}\times \mathfrak{b}, where b\mathfrak{b} is a Borel subalgebra of (s,h∩s)(\mathfrak{s},\mathfrak{h}\cap \mathfrak{s}), is called a Borel subalgebra of (g,h)(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{h}).

With the notations of Prop. 7, we also say that b\mathfrak{b} is the Borel subalgebra of g\mathfrak{g} defined by h\mathfrak{h} and C (or by h\mathfrak{h} and the basis of R associated to C).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
