Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VIII, § 5. Automorphisms of a semi-simple Lie algebra

Let (g,h,B,(Xα)α∈B)(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{h},B,(X_{\alpha})_{\alpha\in B}) be a framed semi-simple Lie algebra, and R the root system of (g,h)(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{h}). Let G be the set of s∈s\in Aut(g,h\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{h}) that leave B stable, and such that s(Xα)=Xε(s)αs(X_{\alpha}) =X_{\varepsilon(s)\alpha} for all α∈B(\alpha \in B (in other words the set of automorphisms of (g,h,B,(Xα)α∈B))(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{h},B,(X_{\alpha})_{\alpha\in B})). Then the restriction of ε\varepsilon to G is an isomorphism from G to Aut(R,B,B).

If s∈Gs\in G, it is clear that ε(s)∈\varepsilon (s)\in Aut(R,B,B). On the other hand, the map

ε∣G:G→\varepsilon |G : G\rightarrow Aut(R,B,B)

is bijective by Th. 2 of §4, no. 4.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
