Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter VIII, § 7. Finite dimensional modules over a split semi-simple Lie algebra

Let V be a finite dimensional g\mathfrak{g}-module and s∈s\in Aut0(g)_0(\mathfrak{g}).

(i) There exists S∈GL(V)S\in \mathbf{G}\mathbf{L}(V) such that (s(x))V=SxVS−1(s(x))_V= Sx_VS^{-1} for all x∈gx\in \mathfrak{g}.

(ii) If s∈s\in Aute(g)_e(\mathfrak{g}), S can be chosen to be an element of SL(V)\mathbf{S}\mathbf{L}(V) leaving stable all the g\mathfrak{g}-submodules of V.

Assertion (ii) follows from Lemma 1 (i). Now let s∈s\in Aut0(g)_0(\mathfrak{g}) and denote by ρ\rho the representation of g\mathfrak{g} defined by V. By (ii), the representations ρ\rho and ρ∘s\rho \circ s become equivalent after extension of scalars. They are therefore equivalent (Chap. I, §3, no. 8, Prop. 13), hence the existence of S.

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
