Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter IX, § 5. Conjugacy classes

Assume that G is simply-connected; let gg be a regular element of G. There exist a maximal torus S of G, and an alcove A of L(S), both uniquely determined, such that g∈g\in exp(A) and 0∈A‾0\in \overline{A}.

We can assume that gg belongs to Tr(T_r(§2, no. 2, Th. 2). Let xx be an element of tr\mathfrak{t}_r such that exp x=gx=g, and let A′A' be the alcove of t\mathfrak{t} containing xx. The alcoves A of t\mathfrak{t} such that g∈g\in exp(A) are the alcoves A′−γA'-\gamma for γ∈Γ(T)\gamma \in \Gamma (T); thus, the assertion follows from Prop. 2d)2d).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
