Lie Groups and Lie Algebras, chapter IX, § 7. Irreducible representations of connected compact Lie groups

Let n+\mathfrak{n}_+ be the subalgebra of gC\mathfrak{g}_{\mathbf{C}} that is the sum of the gα\mathfrak{g}^{\alpha} for α>0\alpha >0. Let τ:G→GL(V)\tau : G\rightarrow \mathbf{G}\mathbf{L}(V) be an irreducible representation, λ∈X++\lambda \in X_{++} its highest weight and τ′:gC→gl(V)\tau ':\mathfrak{g}_{\mathbf{C}}\rightarrow \mathfrak{g}\mathfrak{l}(V) the representation induced by τ\tau. Then Vλ(T)V_{\lambda}(T) is the subspace consisting of the vectors vv in V such that τ′(x)v=0\tau '(x)v= 0 for all x∈n+x\in \mathfrak{n}_+.

Indeed, this follows from the corresponding statement for the gC\mathfrak{g}_{\mathbf{C}}-modules C(ν)⊗E(μ)\mathbf{C}(\nu )\otimes E(\mu) (Chap. VIII, §6, no. 2, Prop. 3).

Bourbaki sets the proof directly after the statement, and the corpus does not separate them, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
