Commutative Algebra, chapter I, § 2. Flat modules

Let (Aα,fβα)(A_\alpha, f_{\beta\alpha}) be a direct system of rings, A=lim⁡AαA = \lim A_\alpha its direct limit, (Eα,fβα)(E_\alpha, f_{\beta\alpha}) a direct system of right AαA_\alpha-modules with the same indexing set and E=lim⁡EαE = \lim E_\alpha its direct limit, which is a right AA-module (Algebra, Chapter II, § 6, no. 2). If each α\alpha the EαE_\alpha is a flat \&-module, EE is a flat AA-module.

Let Eα′=Eα⊗AαAE'_\alpha = E_\alpha \otimes_{A_\alpha} A, where AA is considered as a left AαA_\alpha-module by means of the canonical homomorphism Aα→AA_\alpha \to A; we know that the right AA-module EE is canonically isomorphic to lim⁡Eα′\lim E'_\alpha (loc. cit., Corollary 2 to Proposition 7). It follows from Corollary 2 to Proposition 8 that Eα′E'_\alpha is a flat right AA-module for all α\alpha, hence EE is a flat AA-module by Proposition 2 of no. 3.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
