Commutative Algebra, chapter I, § 2. Flat modules

Let ρ\rho be a homomorphism of a ring AA to a ring BB. If EE is a flat right AA-module, the right BB-module ρ∗(E)=E(B)\rho^*(E) = E_{(B)} obtained by extending the ring of scalars to BB (Algebra*, Chapter II, § 5, no. 1) is flat.*

By definition E(B)=E⊗ABE_{(B)} = E \otimes_A B, where BB is considered as an (A,B)(A,B)-bimodule by means of ρ\rho. As the right BB-module BdB_d is flat, it is sufficient to apply Proposition 8.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
